Hi, I’m Mhairi. I am an illustrator with a passion for drawing, books, stories, colourful interior design, gardening – well, the list is quite long but these are at the top! I was born in the UK, but currently live in Denmark with my husband, daughter and our cat Maru.

I began my career as an academic, teaching and researching English and German literature, but in recent years I have found my way back to the art I loved to create as a child. I work by hand, mainly with watercolour pencils but also some collage and paint. I want my pictures to spark imagination and bring glimpses of magic and wonder into everyday life.
